iRiS is a four piece power-pop/rock band from Victoria, BC, led by the creative team of vocalist Ellen Bjelica and guitarist Jonathan Williams. Since 1999, iRiS has been recording, writing, and playing live up and down Vancouver Island with a vengeance. What makes iRiS unique amidst the plethora of bands out there is their diversity of music and the relationship they have between the four of them. They are all friends with the same hard work ethic and are all devoted to making music a career. iRiS has been testing the elusive waters of fame by earning opening spots with many popular artists including Canada's leading male rock artist Edwin. iRiS has also shared the stage with The Special Guests and 54-40 at Providence Farm in Duncan in front of 1,200 fans.
In early February 2002, Victoria had its first independent music awards, the M*POWER Awards, with iRiS winning "Best Stage Presence" and "Best Female Vocalist".
iRiS has just released their debut full-length CD entitled "Exit To Reality." Charged with confidence and ambition, iRiS moves forth in the music industry, determined to come out on top.

Donnie and Tommy Black began playin' various Ozzy and Motley Crue songz together in their latter yearz of high school. Az time went by, flavourz would change. Eventually tired of the angst of playing heavy music, Tommy cut hiz hair and started another band, with a Green Day sorta of sound. Donnie went on with Conviction, and then even a stint with local heaviez Malevolence. He hung up hiz Metallishoez to reconvene with Tommy and get back to their roots of rock n' roll.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the tracks, Johnny Black would join up with some school mates of the other two and start putting to work and play, a band; The Mungle Pilgriffs.
Donnie went back to the heavy metal monster, for lack of better thingz to do, and Tommy formed Black Creek with Johnny. Johnny and Tommy would play together for a year before they decided to move in for the kill.
Unimmpressed with where they were with their drummer at the time, they tried to sway Donnie from the dark side. The three finally got together. The team wuz formed, and the family had begun.

Ryan McMahon is based out of both the Ladysmith/Nanaimo areas in British Columbia. The singer/songwriter founded the band Citizen Strange in 1997 upon returning from a crazy vacation in Hollywood, loaded with ideas for songs. Since then, Ryan has gone through more lineup changes than Michael Jackson has noses.
In November, 1998, a demo was released on Vancouver Island only, titled "Five Alarm Stare." This was used for promo, and it offered Ryan and his band mates at the time some valuable practice in the studio. Next came the debut CD, "Sleepless Night."
But as all good things sometimes come to an end, members of Citizen Strange decided to go their separate ways, ending a relationship of over four years.
Wanting a fresh start, and something a little less rock, something a little more diversified, Ryan has changed lineups again; gone completely solo, and is working on a new record at Bakerstreet Studios in Vancouver with the assistance of Mike Rogerson and a host of talented guests, including Pat Steward, Doug Elliott, and Craig Northey from the Odds.
In closing, Ryan McMahon offers a unique blend of thought-provoking lyrics mixed over a bed of acoustic pop-rock.
